As a retired boat tied permanently to Queenstown's wharf, Perky's floating bar gives visitors the fun experience of drinking and dining to the swell of the lake, without the need to venture out onto it. Open noon till late, tap beers, local wines and coffee are available to enjoy in the wooden interior cabin or upstairs on the deck, which has been converted to a rooftop garden area. Perch on a bar stool at the bow, or sink into a beanbag to soak up the southern sun sparkling off the lake. The cosy scene creates a great social hub to squeeze in next to someone and see where the conversation goes. Food is BYO, so grab a pizza or burger and purchase the perfect drink to accompany it.
