The Insider's Guide to New Zealand

Trafalgar Street

-

When the Nelson City Council first proposed turning the top of the city into a pedestrian-only zone, local business owners expressed concern. However, any worries about a lack of CBD parking melted away as firms watched locals and tourists flock to the area's eateries and bars. During the city's festivals, it also transforms into a staged arena, drawing huge and enthusiastic crowds.
