WaitArere Forest

Managed plantations flank the northern and southern boundaries of Waitārere. It's private property but open to walkers, runners and cyclists so long as they obey all signage. It can be relatively easy to become lost here without a good sense of direction or a topological map or app. Motorbikes aren't allowed, so the forests are pretty safe for all cyclists.
