The Insider's Guide to New Zealand

Levin Adventure Park

-

The Horowhenua/Manawatū area has fantastic play areas for children, but the Levin Adventure Park has to be the absolute best. Run by a charitable trust, the park has something for all ages, stages and abilities. There's a fenced-off area for the littlies; then, along with the usual swings and slides, there's a challenging confidence course, a flying fox, sports and exercise areas, forts and other climbing structures. An adaptive swing is for less able-bodied children, and all indoor areas are fully accessible. The toilets and baby-change areas are roomy and clean, and there's an indoor-eating area for rainy days and free barbeques for cooking. There's often a mini-train operating, and a coffee cart onsite. Dogs are well-catered for with a fenced doggie rest area alongside the car park. 93 Oxford Street, Levin.
