AMBERLEY

The southernmost tip of the Hurunui district begins in Amberley, a small town known for recharging the spirits of farmers, wine-growers and passersby with country hospitality. Besides vineyard restaurants, there's little food-wise between Amberley and Kaikōura so the best practice is to have a meal here before traveling further.
