The Invercargill Eye - - FRONT PAGE -

We have a busy week and month ahead of us, with several community and charity events coming up.

Accommodation has been tight, with people heading south for all that is on offer.

I’ve been lucky enough to catch up with several people this past week doing good in our community, and there’s definitely no shortage of events to bask in and worthy organisations to support at the moment.

It’s exciting to see people in the community putting energy into things that do good.

We have the Relay for Life event and police open day this weekend, the Red Puppy Appeal later in the month, and small groups making a difference with things like the community garden that was set up last week.

I met some inspiring people this week who shared their stories, and I hope the good continues in and around our region.

Hopefully everyone gets the chance to make it to these events or support these causes.
