It was frustratin­g watching from the sidelines especially when I had further setbacks, but now I’ve made my debut and got some minutes under my belt I feel a lot better about my football and my fitness

It’s a step up from anything I’ve played before, the intensity is higher and a lot more demanding

Well I was with Tom Fawdry at North Shore United for the winter season and Rich [Anderson] got in contact with me having spoken with Tom and organised for me to come down for a two-week trial. Haha yeah yeah I hear that one all the time at work.

I feel it suits me well because I see myself as an attacking minded wing-back, and I like the opportunit­y to get forward and contribute in the attacking third.

I am a qualified barber so I spend most of my week working at Bigsy’s barber shop in Nelson, but other then that just hanging out with a few of the lads from football.

It’s massively important to win this weekend. We have been unlucky the past few week weekends not to pick up any points, I feel this is an opportunit­y to properly kickstart our season and I am looking forward to the game. Position: Left wing-back Occupation: Barber
