Surprise bonus in the boot for car buyer

-

Local woman Kathleen Matheson recently purchased a Honda Fit at Taylor’s Cars in Nelson and drove away with a lot more than she expected, a boot-load more.

After signing the dotted line on her pre-Christmas car purchase, the Taylor’s team revealed that there was one more exciting feature for Kathleen to see.

When opening the boot of her new vehicle, caryard owner Taylor Ryan revealed the surprise, ‘‘Congratulations, you’ve won $10,000’’.

The prize was part of VTNZ’s Certified Dealer promotion which ran over November and December and gave one lucky customer the chance to find $10,000 in the boot of their new car.

Every customer who purchased a car from one of the 12 participating dealerships in Christchurch and Nelson also received a $100 petrol voucher.

It’s safe to say Kathleen was surprised and delighted, taking some time to get used to the idea. She’s loving her new car and as for the money, there’s no big plans for it yet but she’s happy to know it’s there when she needs it.

Ryan and the team were also very excited about the prize and being part of the VTNZ Certified Dealer programme.

‘‘Having the chance to give away $10,000 to one of our customers is an amazing opportunity for us at Taylor’s Cars,’’ Ryan said.

‘‘Aside from this promotion, being a VTNZ Certified Dealer means that we can give customers like Kathleen assurance that all of our vehicles are compliant for New Zealand roads.

‘‘Every vehicle is thoroughly inspected for quality and safety by VTNZ technicians so we know they’re all safe and reliable. Overall, we couldn’t be happier and we’re looking forward to an exciting 2018,’’ he said.
