Thinking culture

Well said, columnist Alan Duff. Reality TV has taken over from newspapers and books. Hardly anyone reads now.

It seems that materialism and hedonism are far more important to this generation. What has happened to our thinking culture, the culture of words that give society meaning? I hope this generation take note of Duff’s article — if they know where to access a newspaper and how to read.
