Golden Slipper winner Vancouver is getting ready to prove himself at three with the A$1 million Golden Rose his first group one target in spring. In her track notes on Tuesday, trainer Gai Waterhouse said Vancouver pleased rider Steve O’Halloran in a 1000m gallop, running his last 200m in 11.5 seconds. The colt is unbeaten in four starts and will go to Coolmore Stud at the end of his 3-year-old season along with Pride Of Dubai, his only rival for this season’s champion 2-year-old honours.
