Hunting charge

A man has been charged with careless use of a firearm causing death in relation to a hunting incident last week. The 37-year-old man was arrested last week after a man died in Kaimai Range on Monday, April 2. He will appear in Hamilton District Court today. Gordon Douglas Leech, 57, died from a single gunshot wound to the chest during the opening weekend of the “roar”.
