Shooters fifth

Smallbore marksman Ryan Taylor finished fifth in the 50m prone final. Taylor shot 184.1 in finishing behind Wales’ David Phelps, who shot a Games record 248.8. Scotland and England filled the minor placings. In the Queens Prize pairs fullbore event, John Snowden and Brian Carter were fifth, shooting 581.50. England’s Parag Patel and David Luckman won with 584.61. Wales and Scotland filled out the podium in another British sweep.
