Ladi6 plans 2-part NZ tour

Ladi6 is heading out on a major tour so big she’s splitting it into two parts.

The hip-hop singer will perform 17 dates, kicking off in June in Blenheim before heading to Nelson, Westport, Queenstown, Wanaka, Invercargill, Napier, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Hamilton, Whangarei and Russell.

But when she hits Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland in July, Ladi6 will play with an all-female line-up including SilvaMC, Jess B and Bailey Wiley.

It’s her first headlining tour since she was forced to cancel an Australasian tour in 2017 for two separate vocal cord surgeries.

She’ll be playing in support of last year’s well received EP, “We have been riding high off the back of such a widespread warm and encouraging response to the record.

“It feels so good to come full circle and be able to finally share it with New Zealand the way we want to.”
