Kiri sells Goldies

Three paintings by C.F. Goldie from Dame Kiri Te Kanawa’s collection are changing hands — with one fetching nearly $1 million at an auction on Tuesday night. Tribal Troubles, painted in 1940, sold for $922,000, the most for a Goldie since a $1.377m sale in April 2016. The Goldies had been on loan for the past 25 years to the Auckland Art Gallery, Toi o Tamaki.
