Load too high

Last Sunday April at about 11.30am I was driving south on the Southern Motorway, south of the Greenlane on-ramp, in the middle lane. A big truck carrying an orange container roared past at more than 100km/h, crossed over to the left-most lane and dived under a road bridge which had red lights flashing, “Load too high! Stop!” I and my two passengers could not believe our eyes. The container must have missed the bridge by the narrowest of margins because, thank goodness, nothing dreadful happened. Then he crossed to the fast lane and disappeared before any of us could get the registration number or company name.
