National’s legacy

-

Tax cuts? What a mess they left behind. It seems every day there is another report of underfunding of yet another government service. Yes, Bill English did a good job of balancing the books, but at what cost? Many ordinary New Zealanders are suffering because of this constant underfunding. What will be the next item of news on this issue? Strange how none of this underfunding was reported to the media in the months before the election. Roger Haines QC, chairman of the Human Rights Review Tribunal, obviously was not vocal enough to receive front page news when Bill English was Prime Minister.
