Dunns appeal penalty
Robert and John Dunn have lodged an appeal with the Judicial Control Authority against the $14,000 fine they received late last month. Robert Dunn confirmed yesterday that he and his son will seek a review of the fine amount after the prosecuting Racing Integrity Unit only submitted for a $4000 fine. The Dunns were charged over four swabs from three horses in their care that showed the presence of caffeine, all four swabs coming from race-winners. All four winners were disqualified after the Dunns pled guilty to charges of presenting them to race not free of a prohibited substance.
