I understand the South African Government will soon pass a law to enable it to seize land without compensati­on. I hope our government will impose sanctions if this law is passed. Also I hope any South Africans who are dispossess­ed will be welcome to emigrate to this country.

On parking

The parking fees at North Shore Hospital are confusing. The first 20 minutes are free, yet the second hour starts on the hour instead of 1 hour 20 minutes. The charge for 1-2 hours is $8.20c. Why the 20c? J.M. Page, Browns Bay.
