Drugs case

-

Police decided not to charge a prominent New Zealand sportsman in relation to an international drug importation and supply conspiracy, believing they did not have enough evidence to secure a conviction. But Tevita Fangupo, Tevita Kulu and Toni Finau faced dozens of charges in the High Court at Auckland this month. The trio were accused of importing and supplying methamphetamine and cocaine, and charged with the conspiracy to supply the drugs. Yesterday, a jury found them guilty on multiple drug charges. They were remanded in custody for sentencing on July 30. Fangupo was found not guilty over the kidnapping and killing of Jindarat Prutsiriporn.
