Looking for something a little more adventurou­s? Spookers in Kingseat Rd Karaka has haunted house tours for children aged 8 and above with a dressed-up guide. The guide can change the scare and fright level to suit the age of the visitors.

Sweet making

Ever wanted to make your own lollipop — well now you can! Head on down to The Old Lolly Shop Takapuna for a chance to make your own. Sessions take 30 minutes to watch the demonstrat­ion then make your own. Bookings are essential and sessions will be running most mornings these holidays.

At the movies

There is a mix of family movies screening these holidays. Check with your local cinema for screen times but Toy Story 4, The Secret Life of Pets, Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion and Poke´ mon Detective Pikachu are playing and offer enjoyment for children and adults alike.
