DON’T FORGET YOUR ROOTS

If you had the opportunity to dine at awardwinning Lyttelton restaurant Roots, lucky you. The little restaurant, known for a big emphasis on local, sustainable, often foraged produce, closed its doors for good in late May this year. However, tonight, as part of American Express Restaurant Month, diners will have a special opportunity to experience Roots one more time. Owner and chef, Chilean-born Giulio Sturla will present a “best of” six-course Roots menu at The Grove on Wednesday evening with matching wines. Giulio will be joined by The Grove’s executive chef, Kira Ghidoni, front of house Fabien Decoux and leading restaurateur Michael Dearth.
