Though the idea of a self-driving car might seem boring and lonely to some, Japanese manufactur­ers are developing artificial intelligen­ce software to keep drivers company. Nissan’s “invisible to visible” software blends holograms, AI and high-speed internet connection­s to create avatars that “make life less lonely on the road”. No release date has been given for this AI system, but we can assume it will release alongside Nissan’s self-driving fleet.
