Flag clanger
The National Party is being criticised for having an upside down tino rangatiratanga flag behind leader Todd Muller as he spoke in Te Puna on Sunday (above). The mistake led to dozens of tweets to the party and jokes about what the upside down flag meant. It’s one in a series of controversies surrounding Muller, who earlier caused a social media stir over his Trumpian MAGA hat. During his Sunday speech he referenced joining the “Labour Party”, before quickly correcting himself.
