Rethink history lessons

Perhaps we need to rethink the teaching of history. We need to reflect on the fact that people lived in very different circumstances than we do today.

We cannot know exactly what lead the historical figures to perform the acts for which they are now being challenged.

Thankfully we have moved on. Instead of tearing down works of art, why not teach people about those times and why we no longer behave in such barbaric ways.
