New Zealand boxer Andrei Mikhailovich claimed a sensational TKO victory over compatriot Alex Hanan in Sydney. The middleweights were facing off on the undercard for the Paul Gallen v Justis Huni fight after a heated buildup that included Hanan throwing a punch at Mikhailovich when the fighters were told to touch gloves. It didn’t take Mikhailovich long to get his own back — a sharp left hook rattled Hanan early in the second round, before a flurry of punches forced the referee to step in.
