Eye care costs

The Northern Advocate - - Opinion -

How come the Fred Hollows Foundation can fund a cataract replacement operation for a $25 donation when the same operation in New Zealand costs more like $2500 for those who cannot afford to wait on the public waiting list. There are people who are unable to fulfil useful roles and work due to the fact that they have been declared “legally blind” and are no longer able to drive.
