The Far North District Council and its commercial company, Far North Holdings Ltd, own and manage an extensive network of recreational and commercial wharves, boat ramps, jetties and pontoons across the Far North District.
We are currently upgrading maritime facilities at nine locations across the district at a cost of more than $26 million. We are pleased to have secured Government grants to meet more than half these costs. Our largest project is in Paihia where we plan to build breakwaters to project Paihia wharf and other waterfront infrastructure.
