Kaitaia teen Alamaine TahitahiMatiu awarded $10,000 to purse dream of becoming wahine Ma¯ori GP in Far North:

● Kevin Curtis great girl and more.

● Trish Madison Well done

● Joy Sadler Congratulations!

● Julie Ann Williams Inspiring

● Dominique Heileson Congrats Alamaine! Was awesome to meet you - keep on rocking it for Northland!

Guy Fawkes goes off with a BOOM in North:

● Nirvanha Wharerau-Ripia Amazing. Worth it & would def go for banning fireworks for displays like Saturday

● Malcolm Perry Was an awsome display.

Retail giant Foodstuffs buys Otaika shopping centre:

● Brynn Pitman-Peek Better not take my lotto shop, fish n chip shop, chemist, butcher and 4 square! Or the liquor shop!!

● William Morunga I'm sorry to tell you this.....but they will probably all go and then be incorporated into the one supermarket. The fish and chip shop prob be there. They will probably keep it as a four square though as they can charge more. Foodstuffs owns four square by the way.

● Toni Marsters Great wth do they want with that tiny parcel of land bc like Whangarei needs another supermarket

● Malcolm McLeod The Four Square used to be a New World supermarket....so if Foodstuffs develops the site into a New World eventually, then it's only going back to what it was.

● Sunshine Waru Cam Better make a safer crossing

● Diane Whitlock In the 30 years I have been using the shops at Otaika I have had nothing but polite friendly service from all of them, hardworking decent shopkeepers all of them, shame on big business.
