It costs actually to get that injection for that strain! Hence the public warning.

Fireworks may have caused house fire

Sue Grace Ban the flippin things. Lisa Pilcher Can totally understand how the fireworks could be to blame. We had the cardboard bits with singed edges landing on our roof and back door step thanks to the neighbours a couple of doors down letting them off. Lucky didn’t happen to us also.

Northland Rescue Helicopter celebrates 30 years in the air

I used this service in December 1989 to fly to Auckland to give birth to our premature baby. So glad you were there to help. Thank you.

They are awesome. We were taken by ambulance to BOI hospital by ambulance following a car crash, but doctors there weren’t keen on treating my son’s wound so the NEST transferred us to Whanga¯rei Hospital (alternative trip by ambulance would have been horrible).

Great service in need of more money to keep going and this applies to all air ambulances.

Many doctors felt the only option they had for people who were struggling with mental health problems was medication because of the excessive waiting lists for counselling Christina Marie So true, and the cost.

Debbie Larsen True but in this busy life of high expectations, it’s no wonder people want a quick fix me up, life is too short, even shorter if there’s no relief, antidepressants have their place, without them our already high Suicide rate would be even higher!!

Northland wing Scott Gregory in NZ 7s squad William Morunga great start . . . be good for his running and passing game. this is actually better for him than hitting the pine in super rugby I believe.

Sheelagh McDonagh Prosser Congratulations Scott.

Schools get two-week window to apply for $10,000 grants for beginner teachers

Bob Warman Let’s not forget that just a few years ago school principals were equating themselves to business CEOs. That got a good ole laugh in the bizzo community. But anyhoo, they should be able to claim a further quick 10 large in 2 weeks. A CEO wouldn’t even bother — he/ she would give the job to a clerk!! Kaitaia teen Alamaine Tahitahi-Matiu awarded $10,000 to pursue dream of becoming wa¯hine Ma¯ori GP in Far North
