Whanga¯ rei timber mill to shut down by early April

● Jackie Andrews: Poor timing when we might have more timber if China isn't taking it

● Min Wharerau: Another loss of income and livelihood for Whangarei families.

● Vaughn Canty: Where's the prince of the province's. Come on Shane. It is election year. HELP

please.

● Tom Collis: Was in the far north over the weekend and in despair at the amount of forestry that has trees at a very young age. Not a very bright future for our local labor force, business and community's that rely on this industry.

● Kamella Henare: Loyal workers, hard workers and very sad for families in Whangarei. Whangarei keep your chin up proud of you hard workers.

● Jimbo Tamboer: That Mill has seen so many people go through it. Many people have used it as a stepping stone, a lot have made a career out of it. Such a shame for this community it had to end like this.

● Brendon Atkins: Not only has chh mill shut down and those people lost there jobs but with the coronavirus us loggers are now losing our jobs the company I work for has shut us down and there's a few other crews shut down also so alot of unemployment has come of all this and more still to come the forestry industry has taken a huge hit in the last 2 weeks ● Trish Attwood: Sad that this has happend I feel for the family's and the impact it will have on northland
