Covid cases rise

There were 509 new Covid-19 cases in the Northland community reported yesterday, bringing the total number of active cases in the region to 4956. Whangārei recorded 255 cases yesterday, followed by 204 in Far North and 50 in Kaipara. Six people were currently in hospital, the updated Northland District Health Board report said. Ministry of Health reported 17,522 new community cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand and 696 people in hospital, including 13 people in intensive care.
