-

National says it’s been getting a positive reception to its controversial plans to address youth offending. The party has revealed it wants to establish military academies for 15 to 17-yearolds, and electronic monitoring devices for children as young as 10 years old. But National police spokesman Mark Mitchell says he and party leader Christopher Luxon had been getting a very different response from businesses in Auckland’s Ormiston shopping precinct yesterday.
