A&P SHOW: The 141st Whangarei A&P Show is on today at Barge Showground­s Events Centre. From the G.J. Gardner Homes Big Dig ‘treasure’ hunt in sawdust, to the vintage tractor/trailer rides, there is something for everyone. Suzie Moo is also celebratin­g her 10th birthday, so join in the fun and games. Bring along your water bottle, fill up at the Water Flow NZ refill station and get set for a great day. Enjoy visiting the various market stalls amongst our beautiful heritage rose garden while picking out some gifts then pop into the art gallery and see the latest exhibition.

MUSIC: Whangarei Youth Music is having their end of year concer tomorrow at4pm. Go and see what the groups have been practicing this year. The venue's at the Anglican Church and entry's by koha. 4

XMAS TREES: PICTURE: Around 50 Christmas trees are on display at St John’s Golden Church in Kensington, helping to spread some Christmas cheer. The glittering display is the result of carefully decorated trees by local community groups, including Northland Down Syndrome Support Group, Boy Scouts and the local Lions club to name a few. The ‘Festival of Christmas Trees’ is open daily from 10am-1pm, as well as 6.30-9.30pm from until Christmas eve. There are also free craft sessions for children every Wednesday from 6.30-7.30pm.

KERIKERI CHRISTMAS: There is a Winter Wonderland coming to Kerikeri Domain today. Have fun on the artificial ice rink for only $5 a turn with skate hire included. Take photos with your friends in the giant picture frame, or with the snowmen It is part of the Christmas in the Domain which will have tasty treats, carols, live entertainm­ent and a parade.
