Mental health charity
Mental health charity I Am Hope says they could double their reach, if the Government was able to match their funds raised. Their annual Gumboot Friday campaign has raised over $3 million for youth counselling services across the country. It encourages people to donate money, fundraise, and raise awareness — all while wearing gumboots. The charity estimates the money raised will allow nearly 24,000 young people to see counsellors. Founder Mike King says New Zealanders believe in this charity.
