Where does it end?

We read that Winston Peters supports fluoridation of our water. If this is true, it seems that those in power continue to ignore the people and pursue the taking away of our human rights.

After the last election, where two parties are now no longer in Parliament, NZ First would do well to remember they were elected as representatives of the people. They ignore that at their peril, particularly when reading the latest polls.

The Council of Medical Colleges (CMC) is encouraging older people to talk to their doctor about whether they could take fewer medicines, yet government is looking at massmedicating the population with fluoride. Dr Sherwood says, “It is important that the benefits of taking such medicines outweigh the risks.”

A recent letter to the papers from a doctor supported fluoridation (medication) of the water. Is this a sign that doctors are now medicating people who do not need medication, and if so, is it for sales for the drug companies?

Unnecessary medication is not for the benefit of the masses, as every drug prescribed can have bad or lethal side-effects, and is a misuse of our taxes. If it is for the few children who do not brush their teeth, a safer option would be for all children
