Spaces still available at NFF workshops

-

The Northern Football Federation advised there were still spaces remaining for a couple of courses being held at the Kerikeri FC clubrooms at the Baysport facility in Waipapa over the next few weeks.

These include a referee course Level 1 this Sunday, March 11, from 9am to 4pm, where the cost to enter is $75 or $50 for anyone under the age of 16 (i.e. secondary school students); a Fifa 11-plus years course (free entry) designed to give local coaches the tools to help players with injury prevention which is set to take place from 6-8pm on Monday, March 12 and features free entry; and, the following Sunday, March 18, a Junior Coaching Level 1 course from 9am-1pm and costing $65 per person.

Other courses local clubs have been invited to take part in by the NFF include an introduction to junior coaching course, a free two-hour course — half theory and half practical — designed with the parents of new players in mind, particularly First Kicks and Fun Football; various seminar/ workshops of theoretical or practical nature on specific topics such as warm-ups, using rondos, playing out from the back, transition, passing drills, games for understanding, creating and finishing, proactive defending or generic in nature; and also the Retreating Lines workshop (which will be in operation for all 9th to 12th grade teams across the district this season).
