Keri High eye 3rd Grade glory

-

Whangarei Boys’ High School Blue 64/7 Kerikeri 106/10 (20) While various other provincial cricket competition matches were rained out over the weekend, it appears the Northland 3rd Grade competition was still able to go ahead.

In this clash, Kerikeri made quick work of the Whangarei Boys’ High School Blue side at Whangarei Boys in this roundfive match (a replay of the rainedoff round one) from the 40 Over Post Christmas Competition which was reduced to a T20 format because of the looming weather.

The other 3rd Grade result from Saturday saw Whangarei Boys’ Gold awarded the win over Kamo 2nd XI, presumably by default with no score posted on the NCA website.

The Kerikeri High 1st XI now advance to meet the Whangarei Boys’ High Gold team at Kensington Park in the finals — and round four — of the competition this Saturday. ■ Standings with all having played 3 rounds are, WBHS Gold 7 points, Kerikeri 4, Kamo High 4, and WBHS Blue 1.
