Another one

Another car came to grief at a blackspot on SH11 near Paihia yesterday morning. The driver was heading downhill from Haruru Falls when he lost control opposite Kaipatiki Roadway, his vehicle landing upside down in mangroves. He was initially reported as trapped, but when the Paihia Fire Brigade arrived he had extricated himself and was being treated by St John. His injuries were not thought to be serious. A Kaeo man had his leg amputated after a crash at the same spot in November.
