Wet on course

Twelve players started out to play round 2 of the J Logan Trophy at Ahipara for the Kaitaia ladies’ weekly hit-out at Ahipara last Wednesday. The field was rewarded with a cold squally shower, but once everyone had dried out all enjoyed the rest of the round or, as a report from the day noted, “that is, most enjoyed the golf, some enjoyed the walk, and one or two were left wondering why they even came out”. The results showed who enjoyed their round, namely Anne Squire with 37, Elaine Knightbridge 34, Rosaleen Steed 32, Noeleen Robson 31 and Val Yates 30. Tomorrow, the women will contest round 1 of the Cossack Cup.
