The students leaders at Okaihau College for 2018 have started their year well, according to principal Alan Forgie.

Head students Thomas Bolton and Willow Rawiri, and their deputies Conor Bolton, Jackson Haynes, Claire Graham and Jenay Maihi, who had begun their new roles at a presentation assembly attended by the whole school and about 30 members of their families, would meet weekly with Mr Forgie to discuss student issues, and had already begun planning the school ball and a Year 7-8 disco.

“These first few weeks have kept them busy, and they are already showing strong leadership for our other students,” Mr Forgie said.
