HOUHORA. Only two play­ers ar­rived at Houhora to play the mid­week hag­gle at Houhora last Wed­nes­day, the club be­liev­ing that due to var­i­ous reg­u­lars trav­el­ling abroad and oth­ers in­volved with the Houhora One Base. Re­sults were, Ian Davis 18 points then Ivor ‘Bur­glar’ Bates 15. “Back to nor­mal this week,” the club re­ported op­ti­misti­cally. On Sun­day, Bur­glar Bates struck again with 48 sta­ble­ford points, fol­lowed by Louis Ke­mara 45, Norm Wag­ner 42 then Lenny Crewther fourth with 39. The club also held its an­nual gen­eral meet­ing on March 11 which saw many thanks for out­go­ing pres­i­dent Peter Hill and a wel­come to his re­place­ment, Bruce Hall, along with new com­mit­tee mem­bers.
