HOUHORA. Only two players arrived at Houhora to play the midweek haggle at Houhora last Wednesday, the club believing that due to various regulars travelling abroad and others involved with the Houhora One Base. Results were, Ian Davis 18 points then Ivor ‘Burglar’ Bates 15. “Back to normal this week,” the club reported optimistically. On Sunday, Burglar Bates struck again with 48 stableford points, followed by Louis Kemara 45, Norm Wagner 42 then Lenny Crewther fourth with 39. The club also held its annual general meeting on March 11 which saw many thanks for outgoing president Peter Hill and a welcome to his replacement, Bruce Hall, along with new committee members.
