Laser strike

Kerikeri Police are investigating a report that an Air New Zealand aircraft was hit by a green laser shortly after takeoff from Kerikeri airport on Thursday morning. Constable Rhys Dempster said the aircraft had reached a height of around 460m when the strike occurred at 6.10am. Police were taking the incident seriously, and were keen to hear from anyone who had any information. Contact the Kerikeri police on (09) 407- 9211.
