Chiefs out­classed at The Park

Re­sults from games played in the Far North Darts As­so­ci­a­tion’s spring com­pe­ti­tion last Wed­nes­day evening were as fol­lows (home side re­sults given first).

Ahipara 10 Awanui 5: The dou­bles were a close af­fair in this match with the home­side lead­ing 5-4 at the turn, while in­di­vid­ual high­lights in­cluded a 147HS from John McGovern (Ahipara) and Richard Martin top-scor­ing (for Awanui).

Col­lards 3 Waipa­pakauri 12: Waipap sim­ply prov­ing too strong, with all the vis­i­tors play­ing with con­fi­dence to hit 38 100-plus scores along with a Jo Steed 180 and 118 fin­ish, while John Proc­tor claimed the night’s HF of 154, and Fergie Rau­mati top-scored for the hosts.

Mis­sion Im­pos­si­ble 4 RSA Kauri 10: Mis­sion’s Nunu Peita and Meleena Thomas scored well for the hosts while Ar­i­ana Popata and Rachelle Popata top scored for the vis­i­tors who fin­ished well to claim a com­fort­able win.

RSA No­mads 11 RSA Pix­ies 4: The high­lights for Pix­ies in this RSA derby in­cluded Jef­fro Moore 76HF and a cou­ple of good wins for Ava Fos­ter and Dave Ihaka in the sin­gles. No­mads stand­outs in­cluded a Harry Tepa­nia 180 while Ian Webb hit 11 100-plus scores and the match HF of 88.

The Park 12 Houhora Chiefs 3: The vis­i­tors ended up be­ing well out­classed in a game which fea­tured 49 100-plus scores, Raw­den Pet­rice­vich lead­ing the count with nine. Chiefs stand­out Kane Hen­der­son threw 180, the match HF of 118 and top scored along with Bruce Hall. The Park won nearly all the close 2-1 games and dom­i­nated the dou­bles.

Tu­atua Tav­ern 3 Mus­sel Rock 12: Tu­atua’s War­ren Scott with the match HF 114 and Greg Tay­lor top scored, while stand­outs in a solid all-round Mus­sel Rock ef­fort were Jamie Hil­ton- Jones 180 and top-scor­ing.
