Cricket rained off

The Northland Age - - Sport -

Wet weather again wreaked havoc in local sport with Northland cricket competitions washed out for the second weekend in a row. This prevented the WRMK Kerikeri Club from delivering a showcase for the provincial game, as it was preparing to host three other clubs to play four T20 games (two in the morning, two in the afternoon) at Kerikeri High, along with a fundraiser to help two local players who have been selected to tour Australia next year with the Northland Secondary School team. Kerikeri head south to play rounds 7 and 8 of the Northland Reserve Grade T20 competition at Kensington this Saturday, game 1 vs Onerahi at 10.30am, game 2 vs Kamo High 1st XI at 1.30pm. There will be one more game for all Reserve Grade teams the following Saturday before the competition breaks for Christmas.
