Not so fast

A 55-year-old man was issued with a ticket, and demerit points, for driving with excess alcohol after he pulled into the parking bay at Kaitaia Intermediate School on Tuesday and attempted to walk on to the school grounds, having spotted a police checkpoint on the intersection of North Rd and Matthews’ Ave. One more microgram would have put him before the court.
