No rest for floral artists
Kaitaia Floral Art Club members had a hectic three days recently, attending the Arts Far North Fair at the Dalmatian Hall, where they were busy giving away hand-tied posies, followed by their last club day of the year.
The theme was Christmas, the accruing of points taking second place to the sheer enjoyment of creating individual designs. The results were as follows.
Gold: Loma Berghan 1, Raewyn Harrison 2, Raewyn Pennell 3. Intermediate: Suzanne White 1. Novice: Lyn Best 1.
Pat Mackenzie demonstrated how to create a swag, which will be the theme for the next club day in February, title ‘Red Riot!’
