Sporty kids wanted for holiday fun

Local children at a loose end over the holidays have been invited to register for the Sporty Kids Holiday Programme being run through Northland Rugby Union and Touch New Zealand.

Organisers are reaching out to the students in schools across the Far North district to take part in the ‘multi-sport’ programme for those aged between 8 and 14, with a focus on “turbo touch, touch, ripper rugby, sport nutrition and much more!”

Sessions at the Kaitaia Rugby Club will run 10am-2pm from December 17-21, and in the new year from January 7-11 and 14-18.

Cost is free for those aged 11 and older and $10 per day for those 10 and under. For more information contact Kea Perene on (020) 4102-5434.
