Football 7s issue Christmas challenge

Organisers of the annual NAKFA Sevens social summer football series have laid down their traditional challenge to other sporting organisations to give the gift of sport this Christmas.

NAKFA officials purchased several footballs from the proceeds of this year’s tournament [the latest of which features on page 23] to put under the Christmas tree in the Kaitaia branch of the Northland Age while laying down the gauntlet to other sporting codes in the area to do the same.

However, they’ll need to hurry with the local branch of the Salvation Army set to pick up the package sometime between tomorrow and the end of the week.
