The eight-year prison term handed down to former Kaitaia back­packer estab­lish­ment owner Michael Har­ris, who was con­victed of 42 of­fences against 19 male guests, in­clud­ing stu­pe­fy­ing his vic­tims, at­tempt­ing to stu­pefy, in­de­cent as­sault and mak­ing an in­ti­mate vis­ual record­ing, be­tween 2005 and 2014, has been re­duced to five years and four months.
